About

The Hairball Review is the foremost journal of food, culture and objects of consequence, written by cats for cats of discernment. Founded in 1994 by the late Sir Percival Mouser in the airing cupboard of 9 Dace Street, it now reaches an estimated 41 readers and a great many more who simply glance at it over a shoulder.

Our editor, Reginald Mewsley, reviews dining. Beatrix Sillington covers culture and has never once been pleased. Dame Orla Tabbycroft handles letters, which she answers by sitting on them. Our ratings are given in paws, from one to four, and half paws are awarded in cases of extreme ambivalence. Nobody has ever received four and a half. We checked.
